‘National Catalog of Foreigners’

No, that’s not in Arizona’s immigration law. Rather, it’s required by the immigration law of one of Arizona’s most strident critics — President Calderon of Mexico! Michelle Malkin is on the case. I know congressional staff are overworked already, but I think a useful project would be to craft legislation that simply lifts portions of Mexico’s General Law of Population, verbatim. Frank Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy published a paper on the law a few years back that would be a good starting point.
