National Review Seeks Two for the Publisher’s Business & Media Internship Program

National Review, Inc. has undergone major changes in the past year. We overhauled all of our backend systems, moved and upgraded our office space, redesigned our website, and launched our new digital product, NRPlus – and we’re just getting started! At the crossroads of a tumultuous political and media environment, combined with all our recent changes, there could not be a more fascinating time to take part, and learn from, everything happening at National Review!

We seek college students interested in interning with the business side of the print and digital publication at our headquarters in New York City (Midtown). Qualified applicants should be members of the graduating classes of 2018, 2019 or 2020 at an accredited college or university, and reside in the New York Metropolitan Area. Additional bonus for those candidates who have experience or proven interest in media & communications, advertising, product development, or revenue operations.

Accepted applicants can expect to work closely with the publisher and his team(s) on a variety of projects, as well as participate in standard daily office functions. This work will expose interns to a host of business-side applications, including (but not limited to) Salesforce, DFP, MediaRadar, Parse.ly and Slack, as well as providing a sense of the day-to-day work that goes into operating a print and digital publication.

Exposure to the Editorial and non-profit arms of National Review should also be anticipated, as all three programs come together for presentations and meetings hosted by leaders of varying departments, Editors, and other industry or political influencers throughout the term of the program.

The internship runs Monday through Thursday, beginning in late May and concluding in August or September, college schedule permitting. These internships are unpaid, but a transportation stipend will be provided. College credit is also available on a case by case basis.

Interested parties should email their CVs and a brief cover letter to recruiting@nationalreview.com with subject line “Application: Publisher’s Internship.”

NR Staff comprises members of the National Review editorial and operational teams.
