The speculation I hear is that Navy JAG was probably responsible for the leaks of the torture documents. I’m told the Navy tends to be the least aggresive about such things, since its work is often “cleaner” than that of the Army and the Marines–i.e., Navy guys are less likely to be in situations where a detainee has information about someone about to try to blow up their friends with a roadside bomb.
