Negative on the Inaugural

Best negative reaction to Obama’s speech so far is this from Spengler at Asia Times. Spengler’s attention was snagged by the same bit of nonsense as mine was, in that dire “poem” read at the ceremony by Elizabeth Alexander. (Who btw is daughter of a former Secretary for the Army. Pretty standard for a “voice of the underprivileged.” My Dad was a repo man; but I’m supposed to be a representative of the white-colonialist, patriarchal, oppressive ruling class. Feugh! All right, calm down, Derb.)

Spengler’s piece links to a rather good automatic Adolescent Poetry Generator. Perhaps we could just use this for future inaugurals. Who’d notice?
