Nelson Polsby, RIP

Nelson Polsby, one of the most formidable political scientists of the age, has died at the age of 72. Like his friend Seymour Martin Lipset, who died a few weeks ago, Nelson was a true student of the American experiment and the reasons why this country has such a unique and lasting pedigree. He was also hilarious and irreverent, and a truly fascinating character all in all. It’s a great loss.
