Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu remained skeptical of new Iranian president Hassan Rouhani’s seemingly moderate rhetoric, calling it “sugar talk” on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday morning. The Israeli prime minister continued to call on Iran to end its nuclear-weapons program and threatened that his country would stand alone and take the necessary action to address the issue if need be.

“I reveal a state secret when I tell you American military is bigger and strong than Israel’s,” Netanyahu jocularly told Bob Schieffer. “But I wouldn’t sell short Israel’s capacities.”

Netanyahu said that he is open to talks with Iran, but is more concerned with actions than words, namely a “complete dismantling” of the country’s nuclear-weapons program.
