Nevada Moves Caucuses to February 4

The Nevada Republican party has voted to move its caucuses to February 4, the Associated Press reports.

In a statement to the press, Wayne MacDonald, chairman of the New Hampshire GOP, says, “Nevada’s decision to reschedule to February 4 will now allow Secretary of State Bill Gardner to schedule our primary at a more appropriate time than would’ve been allowed with Nevada’s earlier date”

“This agreement benefits not only each of the early states but our candidates and the process as well,” adds Phyllis Woods, the Republican national commiteewoman for the Granite State. “I’m happy Nevada made this decision and I’m delighted that we were able to amicably work out a schedule that respects the order of the four states and satisfies the needs of each.”
