New Holiday Tradition: Abuse of Police Power

Here is your annual reminder that police officers who abuse their power of arrest to illegally detain Americans in the service of public-relations campaigns should be fired — and probably charged with crimes.

Some free advice to our law-enforcement officers: You don’t get to be cute while carrying a gun and a badge. Have some respect for the job and the powers with which you are entrusted  — and remember who works for whom.
