‘Women Rise’ Initiative Showcases Women’s Support for Jeb Bush

As part of a campaign-wide effort for Jeb Bush, a group of female politicians and activists has launched an initiative called “Women Rise” to educate voters on Bush’s broader policy platform, and “specifically his strong record of advocating policies of great importance to women,” according to a press release.

Starting in January, the release adds, the group will conduct seven “policy briefings with women across the country,” touching on Bush’s positions on issues from national security to healthcare. The group — whose co-chairs include Maine senator Susan Collins and Missouri congresswoman Ann Wagner — will also highlight Bush’s record-breaking number of female appointments as governor of Florida.
