Jeb Bush is going up with a new web ad in South Carolina touting his conservatism, particularly his record on guns and his pro-life stance.
“Who is Jeb Bush relative to all of the other quote unquote conservatives?” a male narrator asks at the start of the ad.
“I am the most proven conservative with the most proven conservative record,” Bush says in the ad, in which features footage of Bush delivering speeches on his record supporting pro-gun legislation, and discussing his pro-life position.
The ad is a swipe at John Kasich, whom Bush has criticized as insufficiently conservative for expanding Medicaid in Ohio, and Donald Trump, whose conservative bona fides Bush has repeatedly questioned.
The ad begins running tomorrow. The buy is five figures; the campaign declined to share the specific price tag.
Bush reinvigorated his campaign with a fourth place finish in New Hampshire, when he came in ahead of Marco Rubio. His campaign is going all out in South Carolina, where his brother, former president George W. Bush, remains popular and where they see an opportunity to put him solidly back in contention.
