New Jersey Marriage Question

For the moment, I have only a brief comment on the New Jersey marriage decision–actually it’s more of a question. The New Jersey Supreme Court has given the state legislature the option of legalizing same-sex marriage or creating Vermont-style civil unions, identical to marriage in all but name. So one question here is political. What are the prospects that the New Jersey state legislature will decide in favor of same-sex marriage, on the one hand, or civil unions on the other? Is there anyone out there who thinks they know the answer? By all means, let me know what you think.
