Here is your Friday Corner wild diversion. As a former French Horn player, the son of a French Horn player, and the brother of a French Horn player I object to your characterization of the French Horn as gay. Despite the name the horn was mostly developed in Germany and Austria and is descended from the hunting horn, so it is rich in masculine history. Besides, everyone knows it’s the tenors and floutists who are gay. I suggest you spend the rest of the day in the Corner trading musician jokes.
