I love something that Amir Taheri told me the other night. He was in a room with the editor of Le Monde, who was denouncing America as the source of all evil (basically). Taheri said to him, “If it weren’t for America, your newspaper would be called ‘Die Welt.’”
Yes — but would the editor mind?
