D.C mayor Marion Barry died over the weekend. If you want to get a sense of the man, beyond the colorful quotes, the corruption, and what we already know, I recommend watching the 2009 HBO documentary called “The Nine Lives Of Marian Barry.”
You’ll get a sense that he was a really bright man who could have done great stuff — and instead made a ton of bad decisions that resulted in a life full of missed opportunities and scandals, and yet still some pretty amazing accomplishments.
