It’s been a trope to say that Hillary is getting pushed to the Left by Elizabeth Warren and others, in part to foreclose any chance of another Obama-like primary challenge. I’ve said this myself at times, but I’ve come to believe it’s not right. Our old friend JMart was one of the authors of a good piece the other day on how Hillary’s left-ward lurch is part of her general election strategy. I wrote on the home page today how this strategy is one of necessity: the old Bill Clinton coalition was already dying, but Obama drove the final stake in it.
