So Jim Webb won the Democratic nomination for Senate in Virginia. As you can tell from today’s front-page story, the primary campaign was another opportunity for the Washington Post to showcase its dazzling talent for avoiding the word “liberal” to describe either Webb or his opponent Harris Miller, or the “passionate antiwar bloggers” who dragged Webb into the Democratic race.
