No Military Option? II

The Sudanese have launched a major offensive against Darfur, using what the London Times calls three hundred “battlewagons.” Heaven knows there has been no lack of “diplomacy” used against the Bashir regime, trying to stop its murderous slaughter of the people of the south, and recently the diplomatic equivalent of nuclear weapons–an indictment–has been dropped on Bashir. With the dreadful result that Khartoum is now redoubling its efforts at massacre.

I keep on asking when the “Western world” is going to take the elementary and obvious step against this evil: destroy its ability to slaughter its own people by attacking its tiny air force, and now this column of “battlewagons.” But no. Hear no evil, see no evil…and wait for the next UN session to talk some more. Meanwhile thousands die.
