The Obama campaign has vigorously promoted the talking point that the candidate will not be “swift boated” like John Kerry was in 2004. But isn’t that a bit presumptuous? For whatever his supposed faults or actions later, at least Kerry served. You can’t “swift boat” someone who never wore the uniform in the first place.
