NOLA’S REVIVAL?

An e-mail:

My wife and I shall be going down to New Orleans next week to visit our daughter who still resides there after graduating from Tulane the year of Katrina. We have been back numerous times since Katrina and we have seen that our ”Second Home” has been getting better and better. It still has its problems (school, poverty, jobs and crime) but it still remains one of the most fascinating and interesting cities in our country. It is just a great and marvelous place that grows on you the longer you stay there.  We love returning to it since we too were students quite long ago at Tulane. My wife is returning to give an academic paper and we shall also soak up returning to Tulane and the wonderful New Orlean culture and cuisine while we are there — being sure to avoid Bourbon Street as any good New Orleanian would do.

Just wanted to write and acknowledge the truth and good news reflected in the article in the LA Times. Thanks for letting me know about it.
