NYT Baghdad Bureau Chief on Obama and Iraq: Yup, He Ignored All the Problems for Political Reasons

The Baghdad-bureau chief for the New York Times since 2012, Tim Arango, was asked during an “Ask Me Anything” session on the forum Reddit what he thinks of the Obama administration’s Iraq policy. He said he doesn’t want to editorialize, but then offers an account of the facts that looks absolutely devastating for President Obama (but confirms the suspicion that the president simply didn’t want to deal with the situation).
