The Obama Administration Won’t Fly the Stars and Stripes in Haiti

Day by day, bit by bit . . .

At Hot Air, Ed Morrissey relates that the Obama administration has decided that it would be too provocative for U.S. forces on a humanitarian mission to fly the American flag at their base in Port-au-Prince. Flying our flag, you see, would be a statement that we are “an occupation force” not an “international partner.”

There are things about this country not to be proud about right now. But they are happening in Congress. We should all be proud of the Americans in Haiti, and they should be proud to be Americans in Haiti.

I feel like we’re the ones under occupation.
