Obama Aunt Granted Legal Status in U.S.

CNN’s Steve Brusk tweets he has it from two sources that Zeituni Onyango, the half-sister of President Obama’s father, has been granted asylum to remain in the United States.

As the AP reports, Onyango moved to the United States in 2000 on a temporary visa. Her first asylum request was rejected in 2004, and she was [ordered] deported, but continued to live in public housing in Boston, Mass.
