Obama: Checking Staff Contacts, No Part in Deal-Making

Obama, at his news conference, said his staff is looking into “any staff contacts that may have taken place between the transition office and the governor’s office” concerning Obama’s replacement in the Senate.  Later Obama said: “Our office had no involvement in any deal-making for my Senate seat.  That I am absolutely certain of.”
