Obama Comments on Possible Minaj Endorsement

Barack Obama during his convention speech Thursday: “I know that campaigns can seem small, and even silly. Trivial things become big distractions.”

Obama during a radio interview this morning, asked about singer Nicki Minaj’s possible endorsement of Mitt Romney: “I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there . . . a little rap that said that, but she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

Minaj raps in a new song, “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b****es are [f***ing] up the economy,” but as Obama apparently has become aware, no one is sure whether she’s speaking as herself or as a character in the lyrics.
