Obama Parses Another Profound Problem

He told a Jewish group in Philadelphia that he–unlike Jimmy Carter–wouldn’t meet with Hamas, because “”We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction.”

On the other hand, he also said he’d negotiate with Iran, which is, uh, a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction.

Needs a bit more nuance, I suppose. Or maybe a psychoanalyst?
