Apparently President Obama supports legislation introduced by Senator Marco Rubio to exempt U.S. Olympians from federal income taxes on their awards — despite the fact that they are in the top 1 percent of their sports! Not all inequalities, it seems, are created equal. But the less athletic among us shouldn’t worry; I am sure the president will deliver an inspiring “You didn’t win that” speech to our medalists.
