Obama Won’t Condemn Arizona Boycott

When asked by a reporter whether he would endorse the move by some municipal and private groups to boycott the state of Arizona over its immigration laws, President Obama did not take a position.

“I am the President of the United States,” Obama said. “I don’t endorse boycotts, or not endorse boycotts. That is up to private groups to decide.”

Obama did not answer a related question on whether the guardsmen would be used to enforce immigration laws.
