Al-Qaeda devoured Mosul yesterday, which American forces had wrested from the terror network at a cost of significant blood and treasure. It is a major advance in its campaign to set up an (expanding) Islamic-supremacist “emirate” that stitches together swaths of Iraq and Syria.
