Obama’s Cousin to Primary Kansas Senator Pat Roberts

Dr. Milton Wolf announced tonight that he will be running against third-term senator Pat Roberts (R., Kansas) in the state senate primary.

Wolf, whose mother was first cousins with President Barack Obama’s maternal grandmother, mentioned his famous relative in his speech announcing his challenge.

“Most of you know that President Barack Obama and I are cousins,” Wolf remarked. “Like I’ve said before, you cannot choose your family but you can choose to rise up and stop your family from destroying America.”

Wolf said he was running to join prominent tea-party senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee.

“When I look at our Congress, at our Senate today, it’s abundantly clear to me that we need more patriots who won’t buckle under the pressure of Washington,” Wolf remarked. “Who won’t go along to get along. It’s clear to me that we need the citizen legislator who will serve his or her time and then go home and live under the laws they helped create.”

“I have a message for Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee: Tonight the battle is joined,” he added. “Your Kansas reinforcements are on the way!”
