American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS have made a big ad buy for this spot, which contrasts what the administration said would happen to unemployment after the stimulus and what “actually happened” (the title of the spot). It strikes me that you could do a pretty good ad, or take a pretty good shot at a debate, about various Obama predictions that have come to nought.
He said we’d have low unemployment after the stimulus. We didn’t. He said his health-care legislation would cut premiums by $2,500 per family. Instead premiums are going up. He said that by being president he would reduce anti-Americanism in the Middle East. Doesn’t look like it. Now he says we’re going to see strong growth in his second term?
