One More on Connecticut

K-Lo:

As a Republican, I think the best case scenario is Joe losing in a close primary and then mounting a successful bid as an Independent.  (I’m not optimistic enough to think that we can pick up that seat outright).  As much as the Kos-crazies hate Joe now, wait until they have to deal with Indy Joe.  Tee-hee!

But, speaking as a concerned American citizen, it would be a travesty to witness the successful (continuing?) takeover of one of our major political parties by the loony left.

How to reconcile these competing views?  I’m rooting for Joe to pull it out.  I think that’s the responsible position.  The war on terror is a serious enough issue that we can’t trade our allies in that cause for short term political gain.  That said, I’ll still be able to enjoy chuckle at the Deems expense if they expel their 2000 VP candidate.

(Also, I was in CT over the weekend.  I traveled all around the state:  Manchester, Hartford, Glastonbury, Mystic, and lots of places in between.  I saw Lamont signs EVERYWHERE, but I only saw ONE Lieberman yard sign.  And I was looking for them).
