We have public schools feeding our kids, whether the food is healthy or not. If public schools dole out foods known to be unhealthy, they are then aiding and abetting obesity trends.
Fair enough. I would be slightly less upset if they would vote for something substantive — for example, an amendment forbidding the expenditure of federal money for the purchase of Snickers bars, or even mandating spinach in public schools. At least then you’re putting your neck on the line.
