This could get ugly.  Incoming House Gov’t Reform Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, he of the tobacco company investigations in the 1990s, may push to finally end the tradition of smoking in the area just off the House floor where members frequently congregate in between votes.  Problem is that the decision is in the hands of a three-member commission that includes the Minority Leader — and this one hits close to home to Mr. Boehner.  He has his own smoking perch — the “Boehner Bench” — in the Speaker’s lobby.
