Jimmy Carter is a farmer by trade, not an engineer. To the best of my knowledge, he merely attended Georgia Tech. He graduated from the US Naval Academy with a degree in nuclear physics.
I, on the other hand, graduated from Georgia Tech (home of the Final-Four-bound Yellow Jackets) one helluva mechanical engineer. And I turned out OK (as evidenced by my incredibly unproductive engineering career made possible by my incessant monitoring of the Corner, archived G-files and old PBS documentaries about the history of gnomes).
