https://youtube.com/watch?v=LcY4vkRz45E

In the third installment of the Purple Network’s “Opinion Duel” video series, CQ Roll Call editor-in-chief Christina Bellantoni moderates a discussion between National Review’s Charles C. W. Cooke and Zoë Carpenter of The Nation on the topic of raising the minimum wage. They discuss the momentum for legislative action, if the economy could sustain growth, the role of unions in the debate, and whether President Obama’s current actions will make any difference.

The Purple Network is a partnership that strives to deliver content from all sides of the ideological divide to inform politically engaged thought leaders. Each Opinion Duel program will feature a debate on key legislative issues between The Nation on the left and National Review on the right, with Roll Call editors moderating.
