Question: Why would any speech John McCain gives supersede his past actions as a senator? Why should we as voters have more confidence in the conservative picture McCain paints of his presidency when we know his liberal tendencies of the past? Even now McCain talks about securing the borders first while never, ever taking another go at McCain Kennedy off the table.
It seems like many so-called conservatives (including NRO contributors) are getting sucked in by a man that at his core has no love lost for many of our core beliefs. I don’t get it.
