A reader commented on my earlier post on the border making reference to “if the dren hits the fan in Mexico,” a euphemism from the brilliant Farscape series. Speaking of SF euphemisms, isn’t this “hydraulic fracking” I keep reading about painful? I mean, injecting water and chemicals and sand under high pressure! Is this some new alternative lifestyle fad I’m unaware of? Please advise.
