The Corner

Our Future

This is one of the most beautiful and important pieces I’ve read in some

time. It saddens me profoundly. Yet it needs to be read, because the

aging of the boomers will someday become America’s number one problem.

Your agreement or disagreement with the authors’ judgements should not

prevent you from appreciating this article’s importance. This is our

future. Let’s face it now and mull the problem as best we can. So, from

the January issue of Commentary magazine, here is Eric Cohen and Leon

Kass’s, “Cast Me Not Off in Old Age.”

Stanley Kurtz is a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
