The deaths of UN observers in South Lebanon is a tragic shame, though no more so than the deaths of innocent civilian Israelis or Lebanese. But Kofi Annan’s shameless assertion — absent any evidence — that Israel “targeted” UN observers is really beyond the pale, even for the head of the UN.
