Over at That Other Conservative Magazine

No, not that one, the other one. If this report is correct, Ron Unz has purchased The American Conservative and will be its new publisher, with Scott McConnell remaining as editor. Unz is a very bright but, uh, idiosyncratic guy, and I’m curious how it’ll work out. TAC’s survival is much to be desired, despite its areas of disagreement with NR, because more well-written commentary is always better than less; as an example, the current issue has an insightful piece by Steve Sailer on Obama’s struggle with his racial identity, as outlined in his book Dreams from my Father.
