Kathryn, I can’t agree. For months now people have been predicting a Republican, or at least anti-Democratic, wave this year. That prediction, if true, should translate into Republicans’ picking up open seats in socially conservative, McCain-voting districts. That it didn’t happen suggests that we might get only a wavelet.
