Paging Stanley Kurtz!

Truly, the Second Flood is at hand, Stanley! Now Nobel Prize-winning economist Gary Becker — a hero to the Right! — is defending polygamy, even though he notes that it “would be rare in modern societies even if fully allowed.” A great and original mind Becker may have — I’ll take it from those who know that he does — but in its tone of utter earnestness, Becker’s post has the serenely demented affect of James Stewart’s Elwood P. Dowd, utterly certain that his best friend is a 6 ft.-tall invisible rabbit.
