I’m working on a column about Israel and Gaza. I followed a link from this Mark Steyn post to a piece by Canada’s Dr. Mohamed Elmasry. He writes:
Gaza has, in fact, been reduced to a new Auschwitz: the only difference – a nightmarish irony — is that Jews are now playing the role of Hitler’s ruthless SS.
Meanwhile I’d already found this piece by Palestinian “journalist” Khalid Amayreh. He writes:
Gaza has simply been reduced to a modern-day Auschwitz. The only difference is that Jews are now playing the role of the SS.
I don’t know if this rises to the level of plagiarism (nor do I really care) but it does highlight the cookie-cutter banality of this sort of junk.
