Palin Backtracks On Self-Imposed Announcement Deadline

In mid-July, Sarah Palin announced she would make her decision sometime in August or September.

“[In] August and September you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring, so that’s basically the time frame,” Palin told Fox News host Sean Hannity on July 13.

At the Iowa state fair on August 12, Palin repeated the September deadline.  “[Palin] said that ‘practically speaking’ September would probably be a deadline for her decision. ‘I don’t want to be perceived as stringing people along,’ she said,” reported Reuters.

So is Palin announcing her decision today?

Not so much.

In an interview with Fox Business host judge Andrew Napolitano (hat tip: GOP12), Palin said, “I hold my political cards close to my chest.  … This is a serious decision, and I’m engaged in serious deliberations and within the next 24 hours, don’t look for me to make a decision.”
