The Corner

Paris, Bucharest, Happiness

Two reviews of James Madison, one in The American Spectator by Ryan L. Cole, the other in the Wall Street Journal by Aram Bakshian.

Aram brightened my life by telling me of an encounter with a Romanian who said, just too insistently, that “Bucharest is a little Paris,” until Aram remarked, “Paris is not a big Bucharest.”
