The Party of Andrew

It really is a big tent. He “welcomes” to his ranks the so-called “Paleocons” despite conceding what he describes as the “anti-Semitic undertow” to their calls for voting Democrat. Whether or not you think there’s anti-Semitism there is a discussion for another day. The point is, Andrew sees anti-Semitism there, and just doesn’t care. The irony is rich because Andrew has been denouncing conservatives and Republicans for finding common cause with anti-gay “bigots” for several years now. Now, in his latest effort to make the Party of Andrew into some sort of movement (it’s currently part of the “resistance” he seems to think he leads) it seems he’s willing to forge precisely the same kind of cynical popular front he normally denounces. All is fair and just if it helps the Party of Andrew.
