Pataki Under The Knife

I don’t think anyone has blogged on the Corner about New York Governor George Pataki, who has been in hospital for an appendectomy.

(1) NY Post cartoonist Sean Delonas continues his magnificent tradition of outrageous disrespect to our political masters: (Sheldon Silver is a far-, far-left Democratic State Assemblyman from a limousine-liberal ward of Manhattan, who works night & day to keep his constituents feeling good about themselves, and our city and state in over-taxed, over-manned penury).

(2) Bloomberg makes a joke:

“Gov. Pataki yesterday got a hospital visit from Mayor Bloomberg, who was ready to announce a long-awaited deal on school funding — but then the governor’s medication wore off. Bloomberg made the joke after his half-hour visit with Pataki at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Pataki spokesman David Catalfamo said the governor appreciated the mayor’s visit and didn’t mind talking shop as he recovers from emergency surgeries for a ruptured appendix and a subsequent procedure to alleviate intestinal blockage.”

Actually, the joke is on New York’s moronic voters. The only difference between Bloomberg and Pataki on school funding is that Pataki wants a gazillion more taxpayer dollars sluiced into the Teachers’ Union slush funds, while Bloomberg wants a giga-bazillion.
