Paul Krugman has written a lot of cracked columns over the years, but today’s deserves some sort of award. He says that the FBI “appears to have become a highly partisan institution, with distinct alt-right sympathies.” Alt-right sympathies? It’s hard to figure what this could possibly mean. This charge shows 1) yet again, how the Left has lost its mind in the post-election period; 2) how “alt right” will probably be to the Trump years what “neo-con” was to the Bush years–an all purpose insult detached from any remote connection to the term’s real meaning.
