Pelosi Wishes Me a Happy New Year

Well, okay, it’s just a mass email designed to raise money for the DCCC. But despite my natural pessimism, I do think she overstates Democrats’ chances in the House for 2008:

I am writing to wish you Happy New Year and to personally thank you for your support this year. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of Democrats like you. As we celebrate the holidays with our family and friends, let us reflect on why it is critical that we work so hard to take America in a New Direction. In 2008, we will have almost 75 Republican seats in play, and 30 vulnerable Democrats to protect.
