Gov. Rick Perry, finally, is going to meet Sen. Jim DeMint.
Sources tell National Review Online that Perry will meet with the tea-party favorite in South Carolina on Tuesday.
Though both men are GOP stars, the two pols have never met. In fact, a few phone conversations, if that, is the extent of their relationship.
The pair will talk politics, faith, and policy, according to sources familiar with the meeting. DeMint, who has yet to endorse a candidate, is considered a prized potential backer by GOP contenders.
